The musical following two street gangs, the Jets and the Sharks, and two teenagers caught up between them. The 1961 film version won ten Academy Awards including best picture. Those are some big shoes to fill but if there was anyone up to the task it would be Spielberg. There is currently no release date.

Spielberg, who is probably one of the hardest working men in Hollywood, has released two films since December with the first being The Post with Ready Player One following several months later.
