Mike Wieringo, J.G. Jones, and J. Scott Campbell Draw Black Cat for Amazing Spider-Man Variants

The Black Cat is starring in an upcoming story in arc in Nick Spencer and Humberto Ramos's Amazing Spider-Man, and Marvel plans to celebrate the occasion in the only way they know how: with variant covers. Fun fact: variant covers is the only way Marvel knows how to celebrate any occasion. Birthday party? Variant cover. Bar Mitzvah? Variant cover. Death in the family? A lovely wreath arrangement made of out variant covers. But here, variant covers are probably appropriate, given it is a comic book.

So when Marvel asked J.G. Jones, J. Scott Campbell, and Mike Wieringo to draw Black Cat variants for Amazing Spider-Man #8-10, how could they say no? Especially in the case of Wieringo, as he's been deceased since 2007?

A press release provides the details:

Black Cat didn't commit the crime…but Spider-Man will need to befriend his once-foe-once-friend-once-crime-boss Felicia Hardy if he wants to solve this case!

This October and November, join Peter and Felicia Hardy in AMAZING SPIDER-MAN's Black Cat arc, featuring two new variant covers by J.G. Jones (with colors by Paul Mounts), Mike Wieringo (with inks by Tim Townsend and colors by Jason Keith) and a Hidden Gem variant by J. Scott Campbell (with colors by Nei Ruffino).

The excitement starts this October – don't miss the start of the action in AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #8, on sale October 24th at your local comic shop!
