Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp is Getting a Splatoon 2 Event

Better get the mop and bucket out, as Nintendo is kicking off a Splatoon 2 event in Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp today. Basically, this is a giant event that is aimed at getting you to play for a few hours and claim some gear from the game. The first event will be the Blitz Clam Scavenger Hunt, where you'll be doing a scavenger hunt all the way until September 25th. After that, you'll be taking part in Fishing Tourney #6, where you'll catch, kill, and eat whatever you can get from the lake, which will run until September 27th.

It's a fun little event, but considering how long both of these games have been out, we're a little puzzled as to why Nintendo waited this long to do a crossover even when both games have reasonably passed their initial hype time and are slowly fading into the background for newer Nintendo titles. I'm sure it'll get explained to us somewhere down the road…
