Breaking Out Our DJ Skills with Spin Rhythm at PAX West

One of the last things we expected to be playing at PAX West was a rhythm game, but there we were, trying out Spin Rhythm. Created by Super Entertainment out of Melbourne, Australia, the game plays like a lot of titles from the genre where you have to keep in beat with what's happening on the screen, but with the change of working it with a turntable. As you can see from the demo video below, this is what we were working with as you spin one side to keep in sync with the color in front of you, while the other side commands beats and tempo changes.

It was pretty fun to play, but at the same time, we were playing a demo on easy mode that made anyone who was standing at the booth look like a pro. I'm more curious how the game plays without the training wheels, and how much it's going to cost you to play if you have none of the gear required. Spin Rhythm is due to be released sometime in mid-2019.
