'Always Sunny' Season 13, Episode 2 Preview: This Really Won't Go Well

‘It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia’ Season 13 ‘The Gang Escapes’ Preview Makes Us Doubt the Title

Nothing against Cindy (Mindy Kaling) because I feel like we’re going to see her again, and her insane scheming skills could definitely put her in a position to be the gang’s official “super villain” moving forward. But for now, Dennis (Glenn Howerton), Mac (Rob McElhenney), Charlie (Charlie Day), Dee (Kaitlin Olson), and Frank (Danny DeVito) are back haunting the streets of South Philly in the 13th season of FXX‘s It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia so… let the narcissistic depravity begin!

Which is exactly what we see happening in this preview for next week’s episode, ‘The Gang Escapes,” where the “fatal five” agree to be locked up in Dennis and Mac’s apartment for a  team-building “escape room” experience. There’s no way that won’t go smoothly, right? Smooth as sandpaper…

It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia s13e02 ‘The Gang Escapes’: To boost productivity, Dee hires an at-home “Escape Room Experience” service to come to Dennis and Mac’s apartment. Will they escape? Who will get the credit? What could go wrong? Written by Megan Ganz; Directed by Lauren Palmigiano.

So what did we think about the season premiere, “The Gang Makes Paddy’s Great Again”? Check out Bleeding Cool‘s review below and see why the series is still far from basic and played-out:

In the storied tradition of the great Peaches & Herb’s ode to getting back together, ‘Reunited,’ here’s a look back at Dennis’ unexpected, not-explained-at-all return to Paddy’s Pub in the season 13 premiere of FXX’s It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia:

Here’s a look ahead at what fans can expect/prepare to cringe from uncomfortably this season:

The Gang Returns… mostly…. in the 13th season of the FXX original comedy series It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia. Mac (Rob McElhenney), Charlie (Charlie Day), Dee (Kaitlin Olson) and Frank (Danny DeVito) return to their duplicitous, scheming ways at Paddy’s Pub, while Dennis (Glenn Howerton) takes on the new role of father in North Dakota.

Even without Dennis Reynolds, the Gang has its hands full as Charlie hopes to have a child with The Waitress, Mac sets out to understand his newfound sexuality, Dee takes feminism to new heights, and Frank goes to great lengths for the Gang to experience the greatest moment in Philadelphia sports history – an Eagles Super Bowl victory.
