Twenty Titles For December 26th Ship a Week Early as Diamond Takes Christmas Off

He's checking it once, he's checking it twice. He's going to find out if your comic book retailer has been naughty or nice.

This year, New Comic Book Day over the Christmas period lands on Wednesday, December 26th 2018.

And with Diamond deciding not to make its employees work on Christmas Day, they have arranged for Premier publishers to ship twenty titles intended for that week, a week early to comic stores. And stores will only be invoiced for them a week after Christmas.

So come Boxing Day, there will still be new comic books to… unbox.

There will be embargoes for stores to sell these products early, but some mistakes are made and some weaken.

The last time this happened, I think, was 2012… this was a little of what was waiting for them.
