Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is Getting a Pro Controller

How would you like to have your very own Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Pro Controller for the Nintendo Switch this Christmas? Well, you're going to get one, whether you really want it or not. Nintendo released this design today of an official Pro Controller for the game, featuring the SSBU logo in the middle in silver with a transparent case and white hand grips. The things actually looks pretty spiffy if you ask us. The company is also selling, for those who just can't run away from the Game Cube controller, a special Super Smash Bros. Ultimate adapter for the Switch so you can use the previous model on the game.

We've been talking a lot lately about how this is basically a love letter to the SSB community and how Nintendo seems to be doing everything they can to move fans away from previous incarnations of the game and bring everyone back together under one banner with Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Whether or not they'll actually be successful in that venture is an entirely different story as we've seen some Reddit posts from people saying they're local to whatever version they're in love with and will never switch over. We'll see if this possibly does the trick.
