Oni Press is shipping two titles to comic book stores on Wednesday, August 29th, and both of them are Rick and Morty, which we understand is a selling point for most people. Personally, we’ve never seen an episode, but we did try to order Szechuan Sauce from McDonalds once. They didn’t have any. What were we talking about? Oh yeah, comics previews.

The first sees the fan-favorite franchise crossover with iconic IDW-licensed RPG property Dungeons & Dragons. Check out a preview below:

Rick and Morty™ vs. Dungeons & Dragons #1
(W) Patrick Rothfuss, Jim Zub
(A) Troy Little
(C) Leonardo Ito
(CA) Troy Little with Leonardo Ito
Age Rating: Teen, 16+
Genre: Sci-Fi, Humor, Fantasy
Price: $3.99
Page Count: 32
When Morty needs to learn how to play D&D to keep up with the cool kids, his hard-drinking, old school-gaming, mad science-making grandpa is happy to teach him how to roll the dice, but neither of them is prepared for the saving throws they’re about to fail or the true quest yet to come. Strap on a +1 longsword and grab your 10-foot pole, because this is going to be a gaming gauntlet like no other!

And if that’s not enough Rick and Morty for you, the regular Rick and Morty ongoing is out next week as well:

Rick and Morty™ #41
(W) Kyle Starks, Tini Howard
(A) Marc Ellerby, Jarrett Williams
(C) Sarah Stern
(CA) Marc Ellerby with Sarah Stern (Cover A), Kyle Smart (Cover B)
Age Rating: Teen, 16+
Genre: Sci-Fi, Humor
Price: $3.99
Page Count: 32
What do a planet-hopping degenerate, a totally buff (and existentially tortured) Meeseeks, a grieving gun-toting widow, an alien prince, and a bull terrier all have in common? They all hate Rick. A lot. And they’re coming after him, Morty, and the whole family in RICK REVENGE SQUAD: PART ONE. Also, catch new backup comics by Tini Howard (Rick and Morty™: Pocket Like You Stole It, Assassinistas) and Jarrett Williams (Super Pro K.O., Hyper Force Neo)!

About Jude Terror

A prophecy says that in the comic book industry's darkest days, a hero will come to lead the people through a plague of overpriced floppies, incentive variant covers, #1 issue reboots, and super-mega-crossover events.

Scourge of Rich Johnston, maker of puns, and seeker of the Snyder Cut, Jude Terror, sadly, is not the hero comics needs right now... but he's the one the industry deserves.
