Man, there I was slating Thor #4 for avoiding an intriguing possibility for a crossover with Infinity Wars… as Thanos came to the Norse realm of death, Hel, after just dying in Infinity Wars Prime, being beheaded by his daughter Gamora, posing as Requiem, now on her own hunt for the Infinity Stones for her own soul-healing purposes…
And then they threw it in later in the issue.
If only this had come out a few weeks ago, hey? Foreshadowing after something has happened isn’t quite as cool. Still kinda cool though.
As we get into full Yorick territory. And while Infinity Wars Prime saw Gamora decapitate Thanos, and issue 1 see her stab her boyfriend Peter Quinn in the gut, front and back, lifting from the ground… Doctor Strange goes to the Infinity War movie as a way to turn back the clock…
…and brings Quinn back with the Time Stone. And instantly making you wonder why Strange doesn’t always do this, all the time, even when he spills a cup of coffee. And makes moments like this even more hollow.
Giving Gamora no choice but to lampshade the moment. Please, you only just brought him back and the Time Stone is still in play. No matter how much Hela laughs at it.
Now… which cover did you get?
