Carnage Set for Return in Web of Venom: Carnage Born

At San Diego Comic-Con, superstar writer Donny Cates teased a huge event with major implications for the future of Venom and Carnage, spinning out of the Web of Venom one-shots, and referencing something called Carnage Born, but details remained sparse. Today, Cates spoke with comic book themed comic book website ComicBook.com to provide those. Calling Carnage his favorite bad guy (something he shares with Lin-Manuel Miranda) since reading Carnage: Mind Bomb by Warren Ellis and Kyle Hotz, Cates said:

Oh, it's HUGE! I know we are supposed to say that, but hopefully fans and retailers both know by now that I don't just say that stuff. If I tell you something is going to be big, I mean it! And as far as my Venom run is concerned, THIS IS A HUGE ISSUE. For fans and collectors alike, this is a big, big moment in the history of Carnage and Venom himself. This is the first chapter in something very, VERY big! Be sure to be there when it all goes down in Carnage Born!

Kyle Hotz will provide the cover for Web of Venom: Carnage Born #1, with Danilo S. Beyruth on art, in stores in November.
