‘Outlander’ Shares New Images of Young Ian and Rollo from Season 4!

While Droughtlander still has some weeks to go before it ends, Outlander and Entertainment Weekly are trying to help with the darkest time for fans of the STARZ series.

We’ve seen the short but AWESOME teaser/trailer for season 4, introducing us to new and important characters in the upcoming continuation of the story of Jamie and Claire Fraser, but there just wasn’t enough Rollo in it.

Rollo is the half-wolf companion of Young Ian Murray (John Bell) who will be an important character in the coming chapters of the family’s time in America. EW shared two new images featuring Ian and Rollo, and we LOVE them:

Back in 2017, Outlander author Diana Gabaldon told EW a bit about the relationship of the Scottish boy and his wolf-dog when the pair of pups playing the character were revealed:

“Rollo and Young Ian met on the docks in North Carolina, when Young Ian won the dog in a card game, and a life-long bond was formed between them, meaning that Rollo became a member of the ever-growing Fraser family.

They’d need to growl and look menacing on command, I think, and carry back prey of one kind or another to their master. I assume they wouldn’t let them catch things on camera… especially fish, of course.”

Needless to say, we can’t wait to see more of Young Ian and Rollo in action when season 4 of Outlander premieres sometime this fall on STARZ.
