Blizzard Teases the Next Summer Games Event for Overwatch in August

We kind of expected the Summer Games event to return in Overwatch this year, we just didn't know when. But now, Blizzard has made it official. The official Twitter account for the game sent out a brand new message and short video letting players know it was coming back on August 9th and running until the 30th. But not only that, they seem to be teasing something new on the way as Lucio Ball may not be the only sport this time around, as they look to be putting soccer into the game.

The company is also teasing the Twitch/Overwatch tie-in with their latest hero, Wrecking Ball, letting fans know about a special deal if they link their Twitch account to their Blizzard account.

All Twitch Prime members can claim two Wrecking Ball Loot Boxes in Overwatch. Available through September 3, 2018, these promotional Loot Boxes contain four random items for the newest Overwatch hero – Wrecking Ball! Twitch Prime members can also claim a Golden Loot Box in September as well as another Golden Loot Box in October.

August looks like it's going to be an awesome month for the game. But, we're still saying they need to include Hammond Racing into the mix!
