Back in April Bleeding Cool ran the word that Kelly Sue DeConnick was to start writing the Aquaman comic. And this weekend at San Diego Comic-Con it was announced, with art from Robson Rocha.

But according to the solicit for Aquaman Vol. 7 from DC Comics, that might not be for a while yet.

Aquaman Vol. 7  by Dan Abnett

Arthur Curry has reclaimed his throne. But will he be ready for the threats that lie ahead?

All things must come to an end. Spinning out of the events of from Aquaman Vol. 6: Kingslayer, Aquaman will have to look within to battle the new threats that threaten his life and his home of Atlantis! Will Aquaman still rule the kingdom of Atlantis when it is all said and done? Or will there even be a kingdom left to rule? One thing is for certain. Aquaman will never be the same again.

Fan favorite writer Dan Abnett (Titans) concludes his explosive run as he reshapes the Aquaman mythos with Aquaman Vol. 7! Collects Aquaman #43-48

Now, October has the DC Comics solicit for Aquaman #41. So not only is this a glimpse ahead of what is to come for the title, but it suggests that Dan will still be writing the Aquaman comic that comes out in May 2019.

Hopefully that will give Kelly Sue and Rob a head start at least.
