2 Silent Hill Games Have Been Added to Xbox One Backward Compatibility

A couple of Konami classics are coming your way on the Xbox One this week, as two Silent Hill titles will be added on backwards compatibility. The news came out earlier today when Major Nelson released the news on Twitter.

If you're not entirely familiar with these two chapters in the collection, it's totally okay. The quick breakdown is that Silent Hill: HD Collection is two games in one as you get a remaster of both Silent Hill 2 and Silent Hill 3. That one was released on the Xbox 360 back in 2012. Silent Hill: Homecoming is technically the sixth game int he series that was released on the Xbox 360 back in 2008, and it's one we don't really care to dive into or talk about because it was "meh" at best. (Yes, I'm aware that it has its fans, but that doesn't make it good.)

In any case, if you're a fan of the Silent Hill series, these are both at least worth playing through. Considering the way the games were made back in the day, the HD remasters of 2 and 3 aren't too shabby. And while we totally advise you to pass on Homecoming, it's worth trying out if you've never experienced it before.
