Philadelphia Fusion Progress to the Overwatch League Semifinals

It's been a long road for the Philadelphia Fusion in the Overwatch League as they've had to scratch and claw their way to the top over the first four stages. This weekend the team cemented themselves as a group that belongs in the league — they have made their way into the semifinals of the playoffs. The team went up against another squad who have had to prove their worth over the past few months in the Boston Uprising, who looked like they were going to be the dominant team by scoring the opening win against the Fusion.

But in a miraculous reverse sweep, the Fusion rallied back and scored a sport in the semifinals. The Fusion entered as the sixth seed in the competition. After their secured victory, they will play the New York Excelsior on Wednesday, July 18th, followed by a second session on Saturday, July 21st. That leaves one spot left to be determined today as the London Spitfire will face off against the Los Angeles Gladiators. The Gladiators are already up 1-0 in the series as the two are now battling to see who will move onto the semifinals and face the Los Angeles Valiant.
