Marvel's Spider-Man for PS4 Will Only Have MCU References

If you're hoping to see a bunch of hidden references in Marvel's Spider-Man when it drops onto the PS4 this fall, you might want to hold back a bit. While Spider-Man is an iconic figurehead in the Marvel universe and has had an interaction with practically every character on the face of Earth-616, it looks like the new game will be limited to what we've seen on Earth-199999.

A fan asked Insomniac Games' creative director Bryan Intihar as to whether or not we'd see the Baxter Building in the game since we've already seen the Avenger's Tower, to which he simply replied "Sorry but it's not in the game".

Some fans did a little digging over the past few days, and it appears that unless the content is related to the MCU or a property of Disney before the FOX deal was approved, it isn't in the game. So while it may be possible to locate 177a Bleecker Street and see what Doctor Strange's house is up to on the outside, the home of the Fantastic Four will be missing from Marvel's NYC skyline. Sure, some people will be mad, but you have to remember that this is a Spider-Man game and not an all-inclusive Marvel title.
