Today, Comic Creator References Go Overboard (Batman #50, X-Men Gold #31, Immortal Hulk #2)

When Bleeding Cool first teased the contents of Batman #50, we mentioned the preponderance of references to comic book creator names — always a feature of Gotham, but in this issue weaponised for nostalgia and tipping the hat, just as the comic tears off into a new future.

But it seems like it's catching.

These are the references that Batman #50 gives you, homaging Bill Finger, Jerry Robinson, Steve Englehart, Gerry Conway, Gardner Fox, Dennis O'Neil, and Bob Kane.

But today#s Immortal Hulk #2 gives us a diner named after Sal Buscema…

And X-Men Gold #31 clumsily combines Chris Claremont and John Byrne into… well…

…as the issue heads towards Days Of Future Past.
