Brian Michael Bendis’s Superman Comics Get a TV Commercial This Summer

Posted by July 3, 2018 Comment

DC is pulling out all the stops to promote “The Great One” Brian Michael Bendis‘s Superman comics. According to “The Great One” himself, DC will advertise the Superman titles on television. Bendis tweeted the news:

Though he did point out:

That’s good news for the industry, as it’s not clear that most people even understand that comics are still a thing you can buy, even if they enjoy the intellectual properties derived from them in movies and television shows. It’s quite a show of support by DC for The Great One… though maybe DC Publisher Dan DiDio has some other motivation as well.

But still, it’s mostly about Bendis. And how does The Great One repay DC for their kindness and support? By going over the page count for Man of Steel #6. For shame!

Man of Steel #6 hits stores tomorrow. Superman #1 and Action Comics #1001 follow later in July.

About Jude Terror

A prophecy says that in the comic book industry's darkest days, a hero will come to lead the people through a plague of overpriced floppies, incentive variant covers, #1 issue reboots, and super-mega-crossover events.

Scourge of Rich Johnston, maker of puns, and seeker of the Snyder Cut, Jude Terror, sadly, is not the hero comics needs right now... but he's the one the industry deserves.
