By the time the end credits rolled on the second episode of AMC‘s Preacher (and you can watch our review here), Jesse Custer (Dominic Cooper) could take at least one silver lining out of an hour that otherwise really didn’t go his way: it was a great plan on paper. So with his plan to trick Herr Starr (Pip Torrens) into giving him his chunk of soul back literally shot to Hell by Tulip (Ruth Negga) remembering doG’s message at a very bad time. But was doG’s message meant to help Jesse, Tulip and Cassidy (Joseph Gilgun) – or throw them off his/her/their/its trail? No time for that now, though: Gran’ma’s (Betty Buckley) literally tightening her control over Jesse – and Cassidy still isn’t back to being a member of “Team Custer.”
Which leads nicely into the trailer and preview for this Sunday’s third episode, ‘Gonna Hurt;’ and while Tulip gets made an offer from TC (Colin Cunningham) that we hope she can refuse, Cassidy’s about to find out firsthand what The Tombs are really all about…as if he didn’t have issues with Jesse before:
Preacher s03e03 ‘Gonna Hurt’: While Jesse works to pay back his debt to Gran’ma, Tulip and Cassidy risk their safety as they make their own plans to get out of Angelville.
