You Can Now Play Mario Kart 8 Deluxe With Labo Gear

Would you like a little extra challenge with your copy of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe? Because Nintendo just provided it to you. The company has uploaded a new update that will allow you to use the Labo handlebars as part of their bike setup to control your racer in the game. It's an interesting combination as people have already been using tilt controls and third-party steering wheels to control the karts in the game, but now you have the added benefit of working it with a different piece of Nintendo equipment.

The update is specifically a part of the Nintendo Labo Variety Kit, so nothing in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe itself, just a quick update is required. Personally speaking, this is the kind of weird thing we'd love to see on YouTube from a number of streamers. There's still a healthy community of popular content creators who do races on occasion in groups. It would make for an interesting video to watch those people attempt to be just as good at the game operating from a cardboard cutout. But that's just our wishful thinking on the matter. If any of you decide to try this out, we'd love to see your videos in the comments.
