If you haven’t watched the season 3 premiere of AMC‘s Preacher…or read the comic book series from Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon…or looked at about a hundred different promos for the show’s return, then here’s a spoiler warning:

Tulip’s (Ruth Negga) alive. Gran’ma Marie (Betty Buckley) took care of that by the end of ‘Angelville’ (check out Bleeding Cool’s review here); but as we can see from this sneak preview from this Sunday’s ‘Sonsabitches,’ Tulip’s being alive isn’t doing a whole lot to keep things from getting uglier between Jesse (Dominic Cooper) and Cassidy (Joseph Gilgun). Now that all three of them know The Grail’s Featherstone (Julie Ann Emery) was the one who “killed” Tulip, Cassidy’s desire to run head first into a Grail firefight and Jesse’s want to pause and consider all options collide in a nasty way that even Tulip can’t ignore:

Here’s a look at the trailer for ‘Sonsabitches,’ bringing two of Jesse’s worlds together in a righteously bad way:

Preacher s03e02 ‘Sonsabitches’: Desperate to escape Angelville and his family, Jesse attempts to forge an unlikely alliance with a familiar adversary.

PREACHER is a dramatic thrill ride that follows West Texas preacher Jesse Custer (Dominic Cooper), his badass girlfriend Tulip (Academy Award nominee Ruth Negga) and an Irish vampire named Cassidy (Joseph Gilgun) as they embark on a road trip to find God and are thrust into a twisted battle spanning Heaven, Hell and everywhere in between.

The 10-episode third season follows Jesse’s quest for God which takes him back to the place he’s been avoiding his whole life: home. Jesse, Tulip and Cassidy return to Angelville, the Louisiana Plantation where Jesse was raised, and find old grudges and deadly obligations await them. With the help of his friends — and a few enemies — Jesse will need to escape his past…because the future of the world depends on it.
