Mike Mayhew's Retailer Incentive Covers for Vampirella: Roses for the Dead #1

Dynamite is launching a new Vampirella mini-series called Vampirella: Roses for the Dead from artist Joseph Michael Linsner and writer Kristina Deak-Linsner that is geared to tap into the classic history of the character. I talked with Kristina a while back and talked about the tone of the new series:

"The current mood of the series is very dark, and a crime mystery that unfolds into a revenge tale. The panels are carefully set against the almost claustrophobic nature of the Philadelphia city scenes as the narrative space. Philadelphia is my town, and with its historical architecture mixed among the modern landscape, has such a great schizophrenic way of setting a mood."

The series will have covers by Joseph Michael Linsner and Billy Tucci, with a cover by Kristina Deak-Linsner in the special box edition. But there will also be a retailer incentive cover by Mike Mayhew which we can show you below.

The series hits comic shelves on July 6th.

Fan Favorite artist Joe Michael Linsner is joined by writer Kristina Deak-Linsner to create a 4 issue Vampirella mini-series that gets Vampi back-to-basics as Dynamite prepares to celebrate her 50th Anniversary in 2019! Vampirella hunts down a sexual predator in order to feed her insatiable thirst for blood. While tracking him down to a Philadelphia nightclub, Evily the Witch bars her path. They clash and the plan is thwarted. Do they both decide to team up against him, or remain at odds? Whatever the means, Vampi vows to get revenge!
