Untold Tales of Spidey’s Early Black Suit Days in Saladin Ahmed and Garry Brown’s Amazing Spider-Man Annual #1

Amazing Spider-Man is one of the many Marvel titles getting an annual in September, and as Marvel’s solicitations revealed today, Amazing Spider-Man Annual #1 by Saladin Ahmed and Garry Brown will take readers back to the post-Secret-Wars (the first one), pre-Venom era for untold tales of Spider-Man in his black suit. Apparently, while Spidey would go to sleep at night, the symbiote would “creep onto Peter, and unbeknownst to its host, take them out into the night.” Yikes!

The book looks like it’s leaning a bit toward the horror genre, which should be interesting for a Spider-Man comic. Check out the solicit below:

About Jude Terror

A prophecy says that in the comic book industry's darkest days, a hero will come to lead the people through a plague of overpriced floppies, incentive variant covers, #1 issue reboots, and super-mega-crossover events.

Scourge of Rich Johnston, maker of puns, and seeker of the Snyder Cut, Jude Terror, sadly, is not the hero comics needs right now... but he's the one the industry deserves.
