What Actually Happened With Reed and Doom in Secret Wars, Revealed in Marvel 2-In-One Annual (Spoilers)

Do you remember the end of Secret Wars, the Hickman version from a few years ago? With the God Doom with the shattered face, saving what was left of the multiverse to rule over the resultant patchwork planet?

With Reed Richards and Doctor Doom battling it out for the future of the multiverse? Course you do.

Sure you do, it was only three major events ago with the words Secret or War in them. And then before you know it, Doctor Doom was a changed man.

He talked about changing his mind. Of letting go. And in Infamous Iron Man, Invincible Iron Man from Brian Bendis, and previous issues of Marvel -In-One,  we have seen a different Doom. A Doom trying to make things better. And a Doom about to be a dad.

Well, today’s Marvel 2-In One Annual (yes I know it hasn’t been going for a year, it happens) courtesy of the Council Of Ricks shows you what happened immediately between these two moments. And it’s a lot less trippy.

Oh give it a rest Victor. Oh that’s right, Reed and Sue, the kids and a variety of hangers-on became cosmic beings, but decided to pretend to Ben and Johnny that they were dead because… no, that still doesn’t make sense.

So Reed had something to do with Doctor Doom.

Changing his mind. Changing who he was. Acting like a god. Especially since, after this, Invincible Iron Man #600 occurs and Doom loses his nose face again…

This can’t end well… still at least we have had one mystery solved – with repercussions, just one week as they did the same with Axis and Havok. Now is the age of the long-hanging-plotline-wrapping…

There is but one place in the Multiverse where VICTOR VON DOOM holds no sway. A spot where even DOOM can be judged and tamed. A place that houses…THE COUNCIL OF REEDS. Can Doom escape with his life in order to save BEN & JOHNNY?
