Director Shane Black Calls The Predator More of an "Espionage Thriller", Plus a New Image

We just got an awesome new TV spot, and now Empire Magazine is here to show us a new look at The Predator. He also talked about how this movie is different from other entries in the series because people know the Predators exist.

"There's more a sense of espionage thriller to this one," Black told Empire in the new issue. "The Predators have attracted attention now, and the global intelligence community is involved."

While the first trailer wasn't that well received, the new footage and images are looking a lot better. Black is a top-tier director and seems very passionate about getting this right.

From the outer reaches of space to the small-town streets of suburbia, the hunt comes home in Shane Black's explosive reinvention of the Predator series. Now, the universe's most lethal hunters are stronger, smarter and deadlier than ever before, having genetically upgraded themselves with DNA from other species. When a young boy accidentally triggers their return to Earth, only a ragtag crew of ex-soldiers and a disgruntled science teacher can prevent the end of the human race.

The Predator, directed by Shane Black, stars Boyd Holbrook, Trevante Rhodes, Jacob Tremblay, Keegan-Michael Key, Olivia Munn, Sterling K. Brown, Alfie Allen, Thomas Jane, Augusto Aguilera, Jake Busey, and Yvonne Strahovski. It will be released on September 14th.
