New Gundam Breaker for Steam Pushed to Summer 2018

A quick bit of news today without a lot of context as Bandai Namco announced a delay to New Gundam Breaker on Steam. The company sent out a short email this morning to media outlets letting them know that the Steam version of the game would be delayed into the summer, but they gave no reason as to why. Meanwhile, the PS4 copy of the game is still on par for a release on June 22nd. The company simply said, "In order to achieve the best possible quality for the game on PC, extra development time is needed to achieve this."

Now you can speculate all you want on what that means, but the honest truth is that without more info, we're basically doing guesswork here. Best guess on or end is that they don't want to run into the same problems a lot of other games have seen recently being ported over to PC, and are taking extra steps to make sure they don't find themselves in a Chrono Trigger kind of scenario where you're seeing multiple updates being added just to make the game stable. Bandai Namco gave no official date as to when we would eventually see New Gundam Breaker on Steam.
