First Trailer for Operation Finale Starring Oscar Isaac
Who wants to hunt down some Nazis?! The people in this movie certainly do. MGM has dropped the first trailer for their historical thriller Operation Finale. It's based on a true story of a Mossad agent (Oscar Isaac) to track down Adolf Eichmann (Ben Kingsley) and bring him back to Israel to answer for his war crime against the Jewish people.
This looks exactly like the type of movie that gets a fall release date, so MGM might think they have an award winner up their sleeves. Those types of movies end up having legs (see Darkest Hour last year) and can make back their money even if they open against stiff competition. Operation Finale does have some competition that day as it opens against The Predator and A Simple Favor.
Summary: This thrilling true story follows the 1960 covert mission of legendary Mossad agent Peter Malkin as he infiltrates Argentina and captures Adolf Eichmann, the Nazi officer who masterminded the transportation logistics that brought millions of innocent Jews to their deaths in concentration camps.
Operation Finale, directed by Chris Weitz, stars Oscar Isaac, Ben Kingsley, Lior Raz, Melanie Laurent, and Nick Kroll. It will be released on September 14th.
