SpongeBob and Dwayne "The Rock" / "Beef Piston" Johnson's Magical Twitter Exchange

What happens when two titans of the internet interact? Gold. Pure, kind of yellow-y gold.

On Friday, June 1st, which is apparently #SaySomethingNiceDay, one SpongeBob SquarePants tweeted at one Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson.

Little did we know it would reveal to us a treasure trove of other nicknames DJ (as SpongeBob would later refer to him) goes by. My personal favorite, of course, is "Beef Piston" — I'd ask where the nickname comes from, but I have a few guesses that are more along the lines of the still mystery college nickname Johnson refers to.

We also learned that Dwayne is a big fan of Bob's work. This leads me to a few questions… Have we all been referring to SpongeBob incorrectly all these years? Or is just "Bob" a name reserved for fellow elite artists? If so, would Johnson call him just "Bob" or formally "Bob Pants"?

Fittingly, the WWE tried to start a feud between SpongeBob's best friend, Patrick Star, and The Rock.

But it appears that SpongeBob is a lover, not a fighter.

Exchanges like this are why we love the internet.
