Eve Online is Adding a New PVE Expansion Tomorrow

Eve Online's newest expansion, Into the Abyss, is focused on PVE content and is set to release tomorrow. The expansion adds a new alien race that inhabits the uncharted Abyssal Deadspace along with a host of new features. To explain all the new content, CCP Games has released two trailers for the expansion today, one which details the new features while the other is a more general sizzle reel.

According to CCP Games, the new alien race, the Triglavian Collective, will be "the most intelligent enemies seen yet in New Eden" and to beat them, players must harvest "mutaplasmids" which can be used on existing modules for specific increases to performance or value. However, some plamids will wreck your gear completely, so you might want to figure out which is the helpful kind before putting it on any high-level gear.

The expansion pack also adds three new ships which you can craft from blueprints as long as you have the subscription service. The three new ships also use a new weapon type called Entropic Disintegrators which, naturally, disintegrate the things they hit.

Into the Abyss is a free expansion for Eve Online, which is set to launch tomorrow, May 29th, 2018. The two new trailers are below.
