Dungeons & Dragons' Adventure League Gets a New Story Before Next Book

If you happen to be playing in the Adventure League portion of Dungeons & Dragons, some good news is on the way as you're getting a brand new adventure called Rrakkma before the company releases Mordenkainen's Tome of Foes. This new adventure is reaching all the way back to some old-school D&D involving a few different races, including the Githyanki and Githzerai who could honestly go at each other's throats at any time, as well as the Mind Flayer's as they become the hunted party for the previous two, who have joined forces in a specific renegade group whose ultimate goal is to reunify the Gith race. (For those of you who aren't D&D fluent, think back to Star Trek: The Next Generation's episode "Unification".)

Dungeons & Dragons' Adventure League Gets a New Story Before Next Book

It feels like the Wizards of the Coast crew are going out of their way the past few books to make sure that the transition from book to book, whether it be an adventure module or a compendium, flows a lot easier between each one rather than being a crash course. Of course, not all players dabble in the Adventure League, a lot of people go by the books and work with those adventures and create their own. But at least this is Dungeons & Dragons way to hold your hand between what you gained in Xanathar's Guide to Everything and the next one.
