Within days of the news that Universal FanCon wasn’t happening as planned, the nerd community came together to support those affected by the cancellation/postponement. From pop-up cons, to small gatherings, to even other cons stepping up, there’s now plenty to do this weekend!

The Baltimore Science Fiction Society will be hosting a social from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. this Friday, April 27th. They are also inviting FanCon attendees to join them at their other events on Saturday, April 28th. They are also offering a discount on Balticon passes (bought at the door) for FanCon ticket holders.

The Great Philly Comic Con is also stepping up and offering free passes for Friday, as well as half off passes on Sunday for any FanCon ticket holder!

The Baltimore Comic Con is having its yearly Spring Fling, a free event for all on Sunday, April 29th from 10 a.m.-5 p.m.

Over at The Windup Space on Sunday the 29th, there will be a Drinking and Dragons RPG hangout!

There will also be an LBGTQ+ meet-up at BAMF Cafe on Friday, April 27th from 1:30 p.m.-4 p.m.! BAMF is a local, nerdy cafe that serves up some excellent food and drinks.

Flame Con is offering free Sunday tickets to all FanCon ticket holders, which is rather incredible of them!

Stay tuned for more events as they become available!
