Today sees the release of Amazing Spider-Man #799, with Peter Parker fighting The Red Goblin, the combined Norman Osborn and Carnage, as he tried to keep his friends and family safe and brings in all comers to spread his web to help.
Doesn’t always work. As this final page reveal… well, reveals.
Norman Osborn’s grandson Norman, given his own part of the Carnage symbiote costume and… transformed. Merged with the sentience of a serial killer. And so far unnamed. But the Green Goblin’s grandkid as L’il Red Goblin is setting speculator hearts-a-flutter.
But to be fair he wasn’t named in his first appearance in issues of Amazing Spider-Man #263 in which Little Normie Osborn was born. And currently being hoovered up by speculators, with the highest raw copy just now selling for $30.
Think about Uncanny X-Men #201. Cable’s official first appearance, in retrospect, when revealed to be the son of Scott Summers and Madelyne Pryor. Cable is hitting screens in Deadpool 2 and lots of his back issues have been rocketing in value with his first adult appearance in New Mutants #87 selling for hundreds. But Uncanny X-Men #201? You can pick it up for a couple of bucks if you look.
To be fair, it’s a great comic too, the first appearance of Ollie Osnick as Spider-Kid.
Man, Brad Bird must have really liked this comic, right?
Hey, they have a Goblin Kid…. why not bring back Spider-Kid too?
