Warren Simons Confirms He’s Left Valiant Entertainment

A couple of weeks ago, Bleeding Cool told you that long-standing Warren Simons was quitting as EIC of Valiant Entertainment.

We have already reported on a number of departures from the publisher following their purchase by Chinese investment firm DMG – as well as a couple of interesting hires, such as Mel Caylo, Karl Bollers and Joe Illidge. Yesterday, Simons confirmed the news.

We’d also mentioned that the Oscar-winning Eric Heisserer had dropped off Harbinger Wars 2 as a result of Dinesh’s departure, and from Valiant entirely.

In reply to Warren’s announcement, he made his displeasure clear as well as other Valiant employees who had left.

But we did give a reason as to how so many were able to do this relatively easily.

And many look to the new Valiant boss Eric Sullivan, a DMG Finance Manager who has spent the majority of his working life at General Electric Capital. Is that why he was granted the nickname ‘Washer Dryer Combo’ in the Valiant office?

Could be…

There were plenty of other comments made by Valiant creators and employees regarding Warren’s departure.
