DC Comics Trying to Editorialise Poison Ivy Differences Away

We’ve mentioned before at what appears to be a civil war amongst the editorial at DC Comics over exactly how to treat Poison Ivy. A reformed supervillain working with Gotham’s superheroes who may sometimes go a little far in the pursuit of her ideals? Or a crazy killer who wants to murder all of humanity? It’s hard to square the two. Though they are trying.

Such as in this week’s Batgirl and the Birds of Prey. That comic has previously shown her in rehabilitation.

Though some people are still suspicious…

… she’s ended up saving the day.

A fair few times.

And such as it was in Batgirl & Birds Of Prey #21 out this week. With a very heroic Poison Ivy on hand.

Though Catwoman has other things on her mind.

That editorial note indicates what else is going on right now with Poison Ivy.

In Batman she recently possesses the world to try and save it.

Though Batman did his detective work over a number of dead henchmen that Poison Ivy felt guilty about.

Though he did point out…
