While on The Graham Norton Show Tom Holland was a guest with John Krasinski who talked about how he tried out for Captain America. He explained that he was feeling confident until Chris Hemsworth walked by and that he was immediately intimidated. Holland then jumped in about the face that he’s not the tallest guy in the world compared to some of his co-stars.
“Imagine how I feel. These are tall blokes, they’re tall, and I’m not that tall. I remember doing a scene on a planet and there’s all these little dips and rocks and stuff and I just said to myself in rehearsal “just find a rock. Just find a nice rock and you’ll be fine.” First rehearsal I hop up on the rock and I’m working with Chris Pratt, you know Chris he’s huge, I was like chin height and I’m happy here. They’re setting up the lights and stuff, I’m hanging out, and I end up in a hole. I said to myself “just make sure you’re not here when they— ACTION.” And everything explodes to life. I literally stood in this little hole, already smaller than all these people, and I was waist height. I spent three days like this. [looks up] It was awful.”
Holland, and the rest of us, also got to see a clip from Avengers: Infinity War. Peter needs to get out of the bus without anyone noticing and asks his best friend Ned, played by Jacob Batalon, for a distraction.
