German director Uwe Boll is at it again. The director has posted a press release on his website attacking Warner Bros.' upcoming film Rampage, based on the 1985 video game where monsters destroy a city, starring Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. According to Boll, the film is actually ripping off his 2009 film Rampage, about a man who dons body armor and murders random people. You can see the obvious similarities.

"Uwe Boll is currently reviewing his options to pursue litigation against motion picture studio Warner Bros. and Producer New Line for using his brand RAMPAGE as the title for the upcoming motion picture starrting [sic] Dwayne Johnson, also known as the Rock," the press release reads. "Boll released 3 original Rampage movies in 2009, 2014 and 2017. This movie trilogy had a quick turnaround amassing large cult following on DVD and entities like Netflix."

"We are living now in a world where Independent Movies are dead and the big players only are making all the money," Boll continued in a quote in the press release that he almost certainly wrote himself. "That they then use developed brands and ideas from established series such as my Rampage films in order to make even more money is unfair but typical."

"The new RAMPAGE movie will shrink my brand and my revenues I can make in the future with my RAMPAGE movies," Boll alleges. "It also confuses the audience! I want that WARNERS change the title, especially because the new movie has nothing to do with a RAMPAGE and looks more like Jumanji 2 and is one of those typical feelgood, popcorn bullshit movies that the studios use to brainwash America even more!"

"All these kind of movies including Transformers, Avengers are helping the military industrial complex in America to win and have retards like Trump be American President who would say that the earth is flat as soon they think they can benefit from this!" Boll and the press release concludes.

In addition, Boll took to Twitter to wage further war on Warner Bros. and the Rampage movie.

This isn't the first time Boll has challenged his enemies to a fight. In 2006, Boll challenged several of his critics to boxing matches. Some of them even accepted. Boll won all of the fights. Could he take The Rock in a wrestling match?

As recently reported, The Rock is likely to make an appearance at WrestleMania 34, and betting oddsmakers even believe he could participate in an impromptu match. Perhaps Boll will take on The Rock on the grandest stage of them all?

Boll, it seems, has other plans to fight Rampage. He's encouraging his fans to barf all over ticket booths so that moviegoers cannot buy tickets to the movie.

Fanboy Rampage was a blog by Graeme "Graham" McMillan dedicated to the funniest, most ludicrous and most inappropriate comic book back-and-forths online. McMillan has moved on now, becoming a proper journalist for the likes of The Hollywood Reporter and Wired but he gave permission to Bleeding Cool to revive his great creation.
