Tomorrow's Mighty Morphin Power Rangers #25 Already Sold Out
We've been telling you that BOOM! Studios' Mighty Morphin Power Rangers #25 was going to be big. We told you multiple times this weekend from their WonderCon panel that was the talk of Anaheim. Kyle Higgins and the Green Ranger himself, Jason David Frank, created a short film that fans want to see become a movie. The signs were all there.
We're hearing from retailers that even though they tripled orders on the series, it wasn't enough to meet demand for the calls they're getting from fans about this comic. They're hearing from Power Rangers fans that haven't come into the store since Mighty Morphin Power Rangers #0 sold over 100,000 copies. And they're hearing from BOOM! Studios that they'll have to wait till the end of the day to find out if any additional copies will suddenly be made are available for allocation.
But, from what I understand, this book is completely and utterly sold out at Diamond so… not much chance. And eBay has noticed, the standard issue has sold for up to $20 in advance. The one-per-store variant sells copies for $100. The 1:25 Lord Drakkon cover has sold for $60. The WonderCon panel variant has sold for $250.
Also all sets/tickets at tomorrow's Collector's Paradise in Pasadena tomorrow with Kyle Higgins and Power Rangers Time Force star Erin Cahill went fast.
