PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds Shows Off a New Island Map

In case you're already getting bored of the desert map in PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds, the developers have a little something new for you as we now get a look at the latest island map on the way for the game. The reveal came today as the company posted a "Thank You" video to their fans after celebrating one year since being released, featuring creator Brendan Greene and executive producer Chang Han Kim. Part of the thanks was to show you a new island map that feels like a run-down Hawaiian resort that sat a little too close to some cataclysmic event. The short version is that the island is a 4×4 design and the plan is to currently have it hit the test servers in early April, with our best guess being probably sometime after PAX East. The look of the island itself is going to present a few new challenges as they went very specific with an island theme for the ground. By which we mean there are a lot of slopes like it was formed by a volcano centuries ago, which will give some great sniper points but also create hell for everyone if the circle puts you on top of a hill.
