Dream Daddy Artist Shanen Pae Returns for Cover to Fence #5 at BOOM! Studios

Shanen Pae, the artist behind the hit video game Dream Daddy: A Dad Dating Simulator, is returning to provide another variant cover to Fence, the BOOM! Studios fencing-themed teen soap opera comic by C.S. Pacat and Johanna The Mad. Pae helped launch the series with a variant for Fence #1 and will return for another cover as the book kicks off a new storyline, according to a press release.

"We launched FENCE with a special variant cover by Shanen Pae and as we begin the next arc of the series, we knew we had to have her back for more!" said BOOM! Editor Dafna Pleban. "We couldn't be more thankful for the outpouring of support from fans after every issue of Fence and we feel really lucky we get to continue telling Nick and Seiji's story!"

As if teen drama and competitive fencing weren't enough to draw readers to this series, Pae's star power certainly can't hurt.

Fence #5 hits stores on April 18th, and that same day comic shops will get an EXCLUSIVE, limited edition Fence Vol. 1: Discover Now Edition, retailing at $9.99. July will see a regular version of Fence Vol. 1 released to comic and book stores.

A prophecy once said that in the comic book industry's darkest days, a hero would come to lead the people through a plague of overpriced floppies, incentive variant covers, #1 issue reboots, and super-mega-crossover events. Sadly, that prophecy was wrong. Oh, Jude Terror was right. For ten years. About everything. But nobody listened. And so, Jude Terror has moved on to a more important mission: turning Bleeding Cool into a pro wrestling dirt sheet!
