To go along with Friday's 100th episode of Marvel's Agents of SHIELD, they brought in actor/comedian Patton Oswalt to host a roundtable discussion with the cast about the series. Oswalt appeared in the series as multiple Agent Koenigs and was definitely a fan favorite. This almost 15-minute video has Clark Greg (Phil Coulson), Chloe Bennet (Daisy Johnson), Ming-Na Wen (Melinda May), Henry Simmons (Alphonso 'Mack' Mackenzie), Natalia Cordova-Buckley (Elena 'Yo-Yo' Rodriguez), Elisabeth Henstridge (Jemma Simmons), and Iain de Caestecker (Leo Fitz).
Bennet tells the story about how difficult it was to film the scene where she got her powers. She was frozen in place, covered by the stuff created in the Inhuman transformation, her eyes become revealed and she has to look at B.J. Britt, then to Ruth Negga, then back to Britt. Negga character Raina has become an Inhuman while Tripp is turning to dust. Bennet has to get emotional and then burst out of her shell… all in 15 seconds.
Cordova-Buckley talks about the emotional scenes in season 4 when they were about to lose Mack's daughter and the world around them was disappearing. They were playing this emotional scene and the director would yell cut, the actors would freeze in place, someone would race in and take away a coffee table or a lamp, then call action again. They also talk about the Fitzsimmons love story and just how intense some of their scenes have been. It's a fun video, and you can tell the cast members really like each other.
Marvel's Agents of SHIELD airs Fridays at 9 p.m. ET on ABC.
