Kurt Angle Opens Monday Night RAW, Ronda Rousey Decides on Her First Match

Always trying to milk a promo, RAW opened up with Kurt Angle coming out into the ring. After rehashing what happened on last week’s RAW, Angle had a lot to say about it.

Angle informed us that he has had to swallow his pride on a number of occasions, but he was done with that. He called out Triple H, telling him to face him like a man (and not sucker punching him) — but the one and only Stephanie McMahon came out instead. This feud has been one hell of a promo, and I love it.

“Calm down, Kurt, okay?” Informing everyone that Triple H wasn’t even there, McMahon went into Angle’s family life, pointing that his alimony payments might be steep. Which you know, insinuates that he really needs this job.

Things got heated when Ronda Rousey showed up, siding with Angle. McMahon, working that microphone better than anyone, talked down to both Rousey and Angle. Rousey, looking ready for a fight, informed McMahon that she was picking McMahon as her first opponent in her debut match at WrestleMania. Angle sealed the deal, announcing that he would be making the match official… and that he would be joining in, to take on Triple H.

Of course, all four of them got into a lackluster fight, with Rousey and Angle winning. This was an excellent way to open RAW, but I have one very serious question:

How much is Vince McMahon paying out every time Joan Jett‘s ‘Bad Reputation’ plays for Rousey?
