Time travel has become a repeated plotline in Big Two comics of late. To be fair, it's always been around, but of late it has been the main course.

Marvel has had the original X-Men brought to the present, Rachel and Cable from the future, Avengers constantly finding themselves in the future, and the past, Ages of Ultron, Days of Future Pasts, 2099s and everyone keeps using Doctor Doom's Time Platform.

Yeah, like that in Thanos #16.

While DC Comics has Justice League children from the future, Five Years Later, Batman Beyond, dark Batmen from the future, Jor-El snatched from the past, Legionnaires trapped in the present and everyone keeps using Flash's Time Treadmill.

And everyone seems to want to try and change their past willy-nilly. But is that starting to wear thin? A reprise of the end of the Doctor Strange movie in the Infinity War Prelude #2 sets the tone, after they turned back the clock a few minutes in order to win a battle.

While in Invincible Iron Man #597, it's not working at all. Ah, it's Bendis' final issues, continuity is the least of concerns, if it ever was. Maybe they'll get it working for #598.

Still, at least these two timelines are separate, with Marvel and DC Comics politics the way they are, we won't risk any kind of crossover right now, right Booster Gold in Action Comics #998?
