With about a month to go before the series’ second season premiere, Netflix has dropped a new trailer for Marvel’s Jessica Jones – where ghosts from Jessica’s (Krysten Ritter) past continue to wreck havoc on her present. Struggling to resist ever-present temptations while searching for the truth behind her family’s death and the origins of her powers, Jessica finds herself steamrolling head-long at a foe even deadlier than she could’ve imagines. As she fights to hold on to what she has and those she holds dear, the ending of the trailer leaves you with two important questions. How is that possible? Isn’t he dead? With the actor-in-question reportedly reprising his role this season, it begs the questions.

Here’s the official trailer for Marvel’s Jessica Jones Season 2, as well as the streaming service’s official synopsis for the second season:

New York City private investigator Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter) is beginning to put her life back together after murdering her tormenter, Kilgrave. Now known throughout the city as a super-powered killer, a new case makes her reluctantly confront who she really is while digging deeper into her past to explore the reasons why.

Krysten Ritter (Jessica Jones) is joined by an incredible returning cast that includes Rachael Taylor (Trish Walker), Carrie-Anne Moss (Jeri Hogarth), Eka Darville (Malcolm Ducasse) and new cast members Janet McTeer and J.R. Ramirez, among others.

Marvel’s Jessica Jones on Netflix is Executive Produced by series Showrunner Melissa Rosenberg (“Twilight”, “Dexter”), Raelle Tucker (“True Blood”), Jim Chory (“Marvel’s Daredevil”, “Marvel’s Luke Cage”, “Marvel’s Iron Fist”) and Jeph Loeb (“Marvel’s Daredevil”, “Marvel’s Luke Cage”, “Marvel’s Iron Fist”) who also serves as Marvel’s Head of Television.

Marvel’s Jessica Jones returns to Netflix for Season 2 on March 8, 2018.

“I think one of the things I would be able to do now, that’s harder to do in the first season, is to really expand on the ensemble…I would hope to further expand on the ensemble, and on Jessica’s world. She ends in a very different place than she started off. She’s still going to be Jessica Jones — that is not going to change. She will continue to drink and make mistakes, and accidentally drop people onto train tracks, but something has changed for her by the end of this season, and I’d just love to explore that in the second season.”
