Black Lightning Season 1: Green Light Hits the Streets Tonight
We have a new inside-the-episode video for tonight's Black Lightning episode with executive producer Salim Akil talking about Black Jesus. We are introduced to the newest drug on the streets, Green Light, and it gives the person taking them super strength. This will put both Jefferson (Cress Williams) and Anissa (Nafessa Williams) separately on the trail of the 100 gang as she decides to use her powers to help the people of the city. Meanwhile Jennifer (China Ann McClain) tries to help Khalil (Jordan Calloway) with his recovery from being shot.
The above are two new promotional images the CW released today. The top one features Jefferson, Anissa and Jennifer with the tag line of "Forces of Nature", playing on the idea that both girls get powers and start going by the names of Thunder and Lightning. The second poster is just Black Lightning and the line, "In the Night, He's the Light." Both of these are two go along with the fact that February is sweeps month.
Black Lightning airs tonight at 9 PM on the CW.
