Annihilation Round-Up: Two Teasers, a Featurette, and a Viral Site
We are mere weeks away from Alex Garland's next movie, so it's time for a roundup post talking about all of the fun stuff that has been released. First things first, let's look at a TV spot and a teaser that have been released that show off some new footage.
Next we have a behind-the-scene featurette talking about the phenomenon in the movie known as The Shimmer.
Finally, we have a viral site that is a lot of fun to play around with. If you go to forthosethatfollow.com, you'll see that it asks you to enter you to input your transmission. It turns out the official Twitter account has been sending hidden messages for months, and now we know about it. Most of the translations are language, but some of them contain footage.

What looks like just a nice motion poster for Oscar Isaac's character contains a hidden message that leads to footage. When you copy the message it and paste it onto the site, hashtag not included, a video pops up.

A lot of the official tweets from the account can be decoded. Most of them are cryptic as hell, because why not? For example, this tweet…
…has the hidden message of "they have no choice but to enter."
And this one…
…has the hidden message of "chaos". If you want to go through and look at most of the message on the official account, you'll find all sorts of messages. You can even make one of your own. You can type in the visible part of your message and then you have the hidden part. It spits out the code for you. Here's mine.
