'Survivor' Reveals Title, Theme, and Cast for 36th Season

CBS just released all the things for the next season of their landmark reality tv series (which is still going strong, btw) Survivor.

The new season will be called Ghost Island, and the spooky-titled 36th version of the show has some twists because of course it does.  Remember also that some years since the show started in 2000 have had multiple seasons, accounting for the large number.

The island in question is filled with items familiar to Survivor fans, and will be set up not unlike the previous plot location Exile Island.

Survivor host Jeff Probst said:

"Every idol or advantage in the game will be from a previous season. These are the actual, authentic items from past seasons. And every item is famous for being played incorrectly. The conceit is those items are haunted and have been living on Ghost Island. The new players will have the chance to reverse the curse and play them properly… or suffer the same fate."

Ghost Island represents all the bad decisions made by former players. Think of it as the graveyard for Survivor mistakes. We found a really creepy island that serves as Ghost Island and we designed it using actual Survivor items from previous seasons."

Meet the cast of Survivor: Ghost Island below, with a breakdown of the two tribes.
