"Mr. Activision" Exposed For Faking Gaming Records, Twin Galaxies Comes Under Fire

A week after a YouTuber exposed a longtime video game record holder, the governing body known as Twin Galaxies has permanently banned him and is now under fire for their integrity. If you're a speedrunner and you're not aware of who Todd "Mr. Activison" Rogers is, time to brush up on history. Rogers was one of the most famous video game record holders in the world, even earning a few Guinness World Records in the process for his achievements that, up until recently, few questioned the legitimacy. Even those who brought up how they were fake were given grief for years in doing so. On January 23rd, Apollo Legend loaded a new video to his channel showing how Rogers faked all the records, including getting a Twin Galaxies employee (the record-holding database for every video game ever made) to fake his witnessing of records, and entering his own records into the database.

In response to this, Twin Galaxies has permanently banned Rogers from their database and wiped all of his records from the books, making a lot of second-place people very happy in the process. Not to mention bringing into question whether or not he'll be stripped of his Guinness World Record titles.

However, this is not the first time the website has come under fire for allowing discretions like this to happen, including the entire The King Of Kong fiasco. Now people are taking to social media and the site's own forums to discuss whether or not the website should remain an authority on the matter.
