PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds' Desert Map Is Seeing More Loot, Buildings and Roads Added

PUBG Corp. revealed big changes coming to Miramar, PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds newest map.

Miramar was really very exciting when it hit PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds. Erangel is a great map, but it was the only option for a long time. Having a whole new battlefield to play on was really cool, especially one built with vaulting in mind. However, now its newness has wained a little, the map has started to come under a little fire. It's got huge sightlines and a lot of open space, leading some to get bored of the map or feel unlucky when they can't get their hands on a scope. PUBG Corp. has heard the complaints.

Currently live on the test servers is a new version of the map with more buildings, more roads and some areas are getting a boost in loot. This should mean the game opens up a little with a couple more places to find the best gear, while also being able to off-road much easier.

There are several other changes in the patch too and the big other one is a new anti-cheat system which is going to help curb the game's hacker problem. You can check out all the changes here:

World
  • Miramar improvements
    • Added more buildings and cover across the map to improve the engagement experience
    • Added more off-road routes for easier vehicle navigation
    • Upgraded the item spawn level of certain areas for loot balancing (some areas will spawn better loot)
Replay
  • The replay system has now been updated to a newer version and past replay files cannot be played anymore
Bug fixes
  • Fixed the issue where heal and boost items could be used underwater
  • Fixed the issue where characters would get stuck in certain areas on Miramar
  • Fixed the issue where wall textures on some Miramar buildings were not displaying correctly
  • Fixed the issue where certain buildings near by Hacienda del Patron were not displaying correctly
