Women's Royal Rumble 2018: Asuka Comes Out on Top, Ronda Rousey Makes Her Debut

At long last, the women get their own Royal Rumble. The most-anticipated match of tonight saw 30 of WWE's finest, starting with Sasha Banks (who was rocking some great Wonder Woman gear), and Becky Lynch. This is a pretty good, even opener.

We also saw some surprise entries, such as: Lita, Kairi Sane, Torrie Wilson, Molly Holly, Michelle McCool (who eliminated four women fairly easily), Vickie Guerrero, Kelly Kelly, Jacqueline, Ember Moon (who had a great one on one with Asuka, who thusly eliminated her), Beth Phoenix (who had a great one on one with Nia Jax), Nikki Bella, Brie Bella, and Trish Stratus (who rekindled her rivalry with Mickie James).

First to be eliminated was Mandy Rose, by Lita. Naomi's craftiness to stay in the match (only to be tossed out). Banks knocked out Bayley, possibly hinting at a rivalry? The final four were predictable: The Bellas, Asuka, and Banks. The twins took out Banks quickly, leaving them to face Asuka. To Banks's credit, she lasted the longest out of every woman in the ring.

Nikki followed up with eliminating Brie, and then she only had Asuka to take on. On her first night back, could Nikki take out Asuka?

Well, the Bellas were not ready for Asuka, who was joined in the ring by Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss… and then Ronda Rousey came out. Is she ready to take on Asuka, the first-ever women's Royal Rumble winner?

Who knows. This was a great first women's match, and what a way to end the Royal Rumble.
