Old Woman Laura Storyline Comes to All-New Wolverine in April

In the most exciting adventure about an old lady at Marvel since Bill Jemas, Mark Millar, and the Dodsons gave us Trouble (never forget!), All-New Wolverine is getting an Old Woman Laura storyline in April. The story sees Laura as Queen of Madripoor in a Utopian near-future for the Marvel Universe. It's billed as Laura's "final journey" and one in which might even cost her her life. The second issue advertises "GUEST STARS you'd never believe and exotic locales you never thought you'd visit." Also, who exactly did Laura pass on the Wolverine mantle to?

"Final journey" could, of course, refer to the story being set in the future, at the end of Laura's life, but it could also serve as a nice ending to the series if Marvel is planning to end it. The book performs respectably in sales, but writer Tom Taylor is writing X-Men: Red, which also features the cast of All-New Wolverine, and Young Man Logan is coming back to the Marvel Universe in full Mary Sue force soon. We'll have to see what happens, but if you've been along for the ride so far on this book — and we hope you have been, because it's been consistently good — then you won't want to miss this one.
